Hello. I had the same issue. Intermittent. One day no or little heat the next trip lots of heat. Took it to the dealer and they said a partial clogged heater core. 2014 ram eco. Not real confident in.ther troubleshooting abilities. Never heard of a heat core plugging after 5 year. 120k. I assumed sticky thermostat.

Found the below charts that map out the Gen 2 and 3 Ram 1500 engines and the Gen 3 Jeep engines.
