The needle seat has a small screen and it was plugged only letting a small amout of fuel into the bowl. Most of the jets were clear but I still used music wire and air to clear any blockages.Even an off-road vehicle as rock-solid as the Kawasaki Prairie 400 has its fair share of flaws. Among them is the absence of selectable driveline modes (the quad operates on 4WD full time), inadequate front differential, and the lack of engine braking (the Prairie 400 series did not yet have the K-EBC™ in its design).

The bottom one is the problem. The air tube for the transmission is in the way, There is nothing in the manual referring to this. I removed the skid pan and found a tube that was coming out of the engine that was leaking. Checked the oil level and it is fine and the coolent level is fine.That is the one you need. Fan switch is usually bigger then temp sensor so you can't miss it. As for the test itself, fill the pot with water and gradually rise the temperature of it, while at the same time the switch is in the water itself (only the temperature sensing part of it, of course) and hand tester is connected on switch leads.
