John deere 318 no spark.

I have an Onan P220G in a John Deere 318, with no spark. It has been starting hard, misses for a while when blade engaged (initial under load). Compression in each cylinder is 120lbs. Check battery voltage, 12.7, check voltage at starter wire, disconnected, 12.6. Jumped starter and still same slow cranking.

318 p218 no spark during crank. I picked up a low hour (401) 318. It does not have spark during crank, but as you let the key spring back to run it will fire. If you play with it, it will eventually catch and run indefinitely. I tried a known good switch I had and got the same result. I have the wiring schematic my local dealer printed for me.
