This is an RGBW controller, not a 5050 controller. A 5050 controller only has 4 pins, RGBW has 5. There's a slim chance if you took apart the controller and soldered the RGB pins and power pin to the light strip it could work but I don't know if that data is even compatible or if the output voltage for that controller is right.
