Yeah TWS has a huge learning curve, but tbh I mostly use the iPad app, or Client Portal on their website to do stuff. IBKR has such an awesome array of research that can be used. You may want to use Tastyworks for options and futures but retain IBKR for trading stocks. At a million USD I would certainly stick with IBKR for a month then call them up and see what they could do about your rates. All those rates are negotiable if you have the play.
