In my opinion, this is the ultimate utility gun. SHTF, defense, rural cop patrol gun, cowboy action shooting, plinking, and lower-48 states hunting -- there is not much it can't do well, except VERY big game hunting, and long-range shooting.

I'm in the market for a Marlin lever action in a pistol calibre, and thought I was leaning towards .44 mag, but that twist rate alarms me - at 1:38, why even bother? Is this a typical twist rate for a .44?
