I have the opportunity to purchase a G38 (prior G37 owner)and am wondering if G19 and G23 slides (have good deal on these too) will fit and function on the G38 frame. Of course I would use caliber correct mags. Right now, in my neck of the woods, 9mm and 40S&W is easier to come by than 45 GAP.

Don’t it hit with a mallet. You’ll break the wall where the trigger housing sits. Your safety plunger is caught on the trigger housing. Remove the firing pin and extractor depressor. Get a pick or something slim that you can fit between the slide and frame to remove the plunger. Slide length is easy to hide, its in an IWB holster. Concealing the grip is more what I'm looking for. I like all the slide length and sight radius I can get.
