Black Hills first released information about this ammo back in February, shortly after SHOT Show 2014.

The 77 OTM was easily 1/2 moa or less. It’s extremely accurate. I didn’t notice any large velocity differences between shots and had at least two duplicates on each string. It had a 1:8 twist faxon gunner match barrel, id like to test it other barrels as it's pretty cheap hunting ammo! Their 77gr SMK grouped the best at an average of .75" @ 100 yards (five 5-round groups at 100 yards). 75 gr OTM was second at 1 MOA groups. Pretty awesome for the price! 5.But , the 77gr OTM load was very respectable considering the cost of the ammo. No wildly out of the group fliers, and 1/2 all through the "center" of the group. All of the YouTube reviews for "AAC 5.56 77gr" seem to be for the SMK rounds, not the non-SMK rounds, and most of them predate the introduction of the cheaper non-SMK rounds, so it's not the fault of the content creators. The 77gr SMK ballistic performance is stellar, though.

AAC 77GR OTM. For context this is a 10 round group out of a Larue match grade upper at 100 yards with a PA GLx 2.5-10. I'm not the best shot. Still working on fundamentals but overall pleased with this ammo. So far I've shot about 400 rounds with zero malfunctions.IMI "Razor Core" 77 Grain OTM, LR, Mod 1. I do have some 55 grain thrown in there, but the heavier loads is what I usually shoot. The in house aac 77 grain has shot really well for me. I probably shot about 5k rounds of it thus far.This round’s bullet is the real star of the show. Its hulking 77 grain weight means it achieves a lower muzzle velocity and requires a 1:8” or faster barrel twist, but the heavier bullet boasts outstanding resistance to interference by cross and vertical winds. The OTM’s evenly thick jacket has a hollow point nose cavity in its tip ...Probably one of the reasons why the M118/M852/M118LR cartridges don't use cannelured & crimped bullets. The original Black Hills MK 262 MOD 0 ammunition used the 77gr. SMK without cannelure. So did all of the 77gr. SMK MATCH ammunition I have used in the past but I don't know about the latest MATCH loads.
Glad I ordered enough 77gr IMI at <.50 to get me through till I was setup for reloading. Golden days of ammo and we didn't even know it 🤣 Match ammo and big bore is where handloading really starts to shine. I still keep a stash of black hills and imi 77gr put back for the end times though, even if my handloads shoot better groups.

I’ve been in search of affordable 77Gr and played around with a few cartridges on the market.Given the price of the AAC ammo, I would suggest giving them all a try. One or the other might shot better from your firearm. And so far the AAC OTM 77gr appears to work well, terminally wise. The SMK 77gr has a lot of info about it .
