The Sig 716i Tread costs about $500 more than the SFAR and its standard size AR10 receiver but it's probably THE most tested 7.62/.308 AR10 style rifle out there in recent history because Sig specifically developed it for the Indian Army's military trials a couple years back and won the contract. I was looking for the 716i but the shop ran out of them. Some guy had sold the 716G2 to the shop right before I got there so he could get a SCAR17. Lucky for me the dealer cut me a deal and I got the 716G2 instead of the 716i. I probably would have enjoyed the 716i just as much, but this gave me a reason to try a short stroke piston rifle.
