Romeo 5xdr.
Posted: 4/20/2021 5:39:35 AM EDT. Just finished an obnoxious 7.5" 5.56 pistol build, and looking for an optic. I've narrowed it down to either a Holosun HS503CU or a Sig Romeo5 XDR. Both offer 65MOA circle with a 2 MOA red dot, although I *believe* the Romeo5 XDR allows you choose between just the 2 MOA dot or the circle/dot option.

Took the Romeo5 XDR that was sitting on the shelf and mounted her on my 17 and went to sight her in today. Definitely an improvement over the irons.

Concerns about Sig Romeo 5XDR. The lens in the front of the optic appears to be really crooked. It’s deeply recessed on the left side and the right side popped up getting relatively close to the optic rim. I know the glass is supposed to be slanted a little but nothing that should be very noticeable unless you look at it closely.

Aug 22, 2022 · The Sig Sauer Romeo 5 may not be as loaded as the Romeo 4, but it comes with a more affordable price. This is made from aluminum as well and has 1X magnification with a 20mm objective lens. This is great for shooting within 100 yards. The reticle is one fixed dot that is 2 MOA and is adjustable. This optic is smaller than the Romeo 4 and allows ... I assume because it didn't sell very well. That would be my guess as well. I have two of them, I got the OPMOD FDE versions from Optics Planet. I just looked, I would get them for around $170 shipped. These were the 2MOA/65MOA versions, but you would have to wait until they were on sale, AND you had a a 10% off coupon code (from back in the day).

People will say it's a micro mount like any other Romeo 5/Aimpoint/whatever, which is true, the screw pattern is the same. Who makes the right height mount for the XDR design is the trick. Thanks for the reply. Shooting both eyes open glass isn't much of a factor but side by side they look identical as far as glass goes. Sparc has a simple common battery and subjectivity feels much more rugged. Neither are a Aimpoint but the Sparc "feels" more like one.
