I find groups in archicad are terrbile compared to revit groups. the idea that i have to hotlink are more like external references is a time killer. I also find using dimensioning to be better in Revit. archicads ability to draw and snap to things in 3D is amazing. I actually do drafting for an HVAC company and am in the middle of my second Revit project. The most helpful guide I've found so far is the Revit MEP: Project Startup Survival Kit by Derek Renn. It is a great and thorough step-by-step guide on how to initiate a Revit MEP project.
