A lighter spring might actually be worse during shooting. The slide tends to slam back harder, and cause more felt recoil. With your weapon hand grab the grip in a normal fashion with your finger off the trigger. From the exploded diagram, it looks like a Locking Block Pin/Trigger Pin passes. through Frame, the Slide Stop Lever and the Trigger.
