In those days I was processing raw files with Nikon Capture NX2. The question was whether it was better to use ADL or just expose for the highlights and lift shadows in NX2. With the old D60, it was apparent that using ADL was a better way to go. 4. Jun 20, 2021. #1. Hey all. I just picked up a z5 and the 50mm 1.8 s. I have the latest firmware. When I shoot with continuous auto focus with burst mode, or even single shot, I have a really poor keeper rate. I have af-c set to focus priority and it still seems like only about half my photos are in focus.Focus is swift and sure and it makes for a nicer travel/walkaround lens vs the 24-70. But it's a 5:1 zoom vs a 3:1 zoom so there will be some optical compromises. I still like my 24-70E F mount and trying to decide if I should keep it, replace it with the S Version, or just accept the slight optical limitations and 1 stop slower 24-120.I just got back from a photo expo about an hour ago where there was a Nikon table that had a "prototype copy" of the 35mm 1.4G lens. I was playing with it mated to a D3s. They wouldn't let me put in a memory card to record pictures (I probably shouldn't have even asked) so I really can't comment on the lens' optical performance.Looks like yet another great time! I charged both batteries and the D80 came to life. The D300 will not power on. No green light indicator when the battery is placed inside, nothing. I read some of the suggestions on the forum and followed those. After leaving the battery in for 72 hours the display started to slowly come to life.
It will be my first time using a Nikon for this. I will be using the D500 and Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8. In my searches, I've found that most people recommend D25 while some use Group instead. As I understand it, D25 will always prioritize the center while Group will prioritize the nearest subject within the target area.
