Jul 22, 2005. Christopher Hagenau, 18, of Omaha drowned while swimming July 22 at Linoma Beach, located southwest of Gretna. Lt. Russ Zeeb of the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office said the recent Creighton Prep graduate and two friends were swimming for the first time at the popular area beach that afternoon.
The widows of Kirk Munguia and Ariel Romero, both employees of Miami-Dade County, said they were grieving on Thursday night after the two men drowned in Miami Beach. Munguia was 42 and Romero was 49.All roads to the beach community of Misquamicut were closed because of wind-driven flooding.
