We have a 2011 28 foot Allegro Breeze with the Maxxforce 7. 59,000 miles. Purchased used in 2013. The reasons we still have it: No issues with the Navistar engine. We have gotten 10-11 mpg running about 62 mph. Doesn't use lube oil between changes. Most likely your engine was made in 2012, probably has the older DPF, needs a new DPF and several ECM changes which have been made to enhance the DPF life. The newer DPF is less restrictive. The possibilities are endless. International once had a great rep for service, the Maxxforce series changed that for certain.

Unit is in almost new condition. The drive train is the Maxxforce 10, 350 HP Big block 9.3 Turbo diesel, with a Allison 6 speed trans. Is this the same engine that has all the failure problems in the large trucks, or is the RV version of the engine any better. Love the RV, but after reading about all the engine problems, am rethinking the purchase.But the problems seem to have only affected a minority of Breeze owners. There is a FaceBook Breeze Owners Group that I participate in and monitor and by my count, 7 out of 42 owners of the 240hp MaxxForce (2010 EPA) reported engine issues: 5 regarding the DPF (part of the emission control system); and, 2 regarding the high-pressure fuel system.
