Re-wired my alternator to be a one wire but can seem to charge below 2000rpm. This is what I have done. Connected red wire to red wire going to starter solenoid on battery positive side. The alternator is a brand new and so is the wiring harness going into the back/side of the alternator. The easiest thing to do seems to be to replace the ashtray with another switch bezel complete with 12v power outlet. I'd need a part number on the bezel itself if anybody has it.
