My shotgunner, runs in three modes: vats crit, explosive, and pepper shaker. I do the most damage in vats crit mode, because I'm sneaky like that. Pepper shaker is good for scorched earth, acp, and rad rumble. Explosive is good for daily ops with camouflaged enemies.
