While I appreciate your review, and agree the keycaps are extremely poor quality (compared to other Akko sets), clicky switches just naturally sound pingy. Definitely a lot of that initial sound is the switch, and probably the cheap plastic keycaps (sadge). The Akko V3 Cream Yellow is part of Akko’s ultra-low cost switch line-up coming in at $8.99 for 45 switches, or roughly £0.20 per switch! This is very similar to Gateron’s stock line-up. Plus, judging from its force curve, Akko has specifically positioned this switch to target the Gateron Yellow. It does have “Yellow” in the name after all.

Overall, Akko boards have a great stock switch and key cap collection and RK boards would probably require replacing both, so Akkos are the better choice for beginners. They’re not quite as “premium” as the Milky Yellows and Ink Blacks, but I prefer them over the standard Cherry MX reds (they’re smoother & heavier).

The extra strong pins is a really nice feature too, I didn't have a single bent pin putting this in - and as many others have commented in reviews, these come in a fantastic, sturdy box (as opposed to loose in a bag). Akko keyboards are nothing too fantastic about but holy god their switches are fantastic - and sinfully cheap!
