I also did a 1.5" body lift before mount a bumper, cause HD bumper is much higher. I bought used full equipped bumper with stock mounts. HD frame is a bit wider then 1500 so you need a good welder.

Some would say '02 as they had worked out most of the bugs, but I think '01.5 as they hadn't started decontenting yet ('02s don't have a hood liner or rear wheel well liners, etc). You can tell if it's an '01.5 if it has rear disk brakes.
