Ram 1500 clicking noise when starting.

I brought my 03 1500 w/ a 4.7 and 48k in for the rear end and happened to mention the noise during cold starts. I left my truck over night and the mechanic heard the motor noise but no rear end noise, (totally separate story behind that one) The dealer called me and the mechanic recommended that I bring it back when I can leave it for 2 …This morning I went out to start it and got the dreaded cold start lifter tick for about 3 seconds.
