I started with 3-5 stem butts as well as a fair amount of colonized wood chips, composed leaves, pine, etc.. then added quite a bit of other woodloving material located in the surrounding area and placed this in a sterilized bin and let it colonize for about 1 week ...

Regarding P. caerulipes. So far about 99.999% of the P. caerulipes collected in Ohio are actually a new species described as P. ovoideocystidiata and that paper can also be googled to the article posted here and at other sites. And any post by ShroomyDan, Falcon and Mushmaster will also bring up that mushroom.
