Mathews phase 4 vs hoyt vtm.
I did not chrono either of them as there is plenty of info out there on where these bows come in speed wise. The consensus is that the Mathews is 3-5 fps faster than the Hoyt. Lift 33. Where do I start. The draw is light years better in my mind than the previous few years of Mathews with SW cams.

It is light but so is the new Mathews. They claim it’s stronger than carbon and dampens vibration 3X better than 6061 aluminum and 20X more than carbon. 30% lighter than 6061 aluminum as well. As for Mathews, their lowest-priced bow for 2019 is still above $800. For those willing to spend some serious cash on a quality bow, $800 isn’t a huge sacrifice.

I’m not a guy who buys a new bow every year (sorry Mathews)! I tend to wait until I feel like the technology has advanced to a point that it makes sense to upgrade. That was this year, with the Phase 4-33. I switched from another brand to my first Mathews. I went all in with the entire bridgelock set-up. I have been beyond impressed!

If you have a V3X like me, I personally wouldn’t buy a Phase 4. It would be cheaper to add limb dampeners between the limbs or buy an adjustable stab, like the crossover stabs on my V3X.
