Typical O2 sensor service life is about 100,000-150,000 miles. Replace the coolant temperature sensor on the thermostat housing.The pentastar does run on the hot side for better efficiency. Also keep in mind that the coolant temperature sensor is located at the left (driver) side engine head. Coolant is pushed by the pump through the engine block (around the cylinders) then through the heads and on to the oil heat exchanger, heater core and radiator via the thermostat.Put new Mopar thermostat in, and the JK still runs at 220 on average. yeah, the middle is a bit high for the 3.6L especially if you are driving. But like you, normal temps for my 3.6 is just slightly above the 1/4 line. Over the last year I have had issues with my Jeep overheating and losing coolant. It is a 2012 JK Sport. It is currently out of warranty. Last year the Jeep overheated pretty good, starting off as a little higher than normal and then over a few months going to 3/4 temp.The temp gauge on your dash is just an implied temp, not an actual reading. Your EVIC should show actual coolant temps. But to answer your question; yes, the 3.6 runs hot. Apparently that is where it is most efficient and happy.
