There is an exception if those pinch weld were reinforced like in my 2008 civic which are the jacking points from the owners manual. Decided to go with a slotted pad scissor jack kit from a junked Mazda 3 hatchback with a patching kit for a tire puncture back up. Jacked up my Lusso on the above red marks shown above and all worked fine. The jack and kit all fit in the jack location spot on the passenger side in the trunk. Be warned that all info in my post is with regard to 2007 CX-9 and may be different for later years. The CX-9 owner manual defines the 4 side jacking points for the Mazda jack. It does not define the central jack points for a hydraulic jack, but the service manual does.
