It became one of the most memorial cruises of my life but not for the right reasons ...But, bottom line, there was a $200 delta between a Veranda Cabin and an S3 Sky Suite in the Retreat at the time. To me, that's a no brainer. Plus, since then, my fare dropped $800 AND I was able to upgrade to an S2 for the same price as an S3. I'll have some chips to hit the casino with.

We have cruised previously on Edge (aqua), Apex (skysuite) and last year on Beyond (skysuite). Itinerary doesn't matter too much. The Ascent would be about $800 more.

A 2 person cabana is $150 and a 4 person is $300. Be aware that the location of the cabanas on Edge and Apex is on deck 14 but they face the ocean and the Magic Carpet and a busier walkway rather than the pool. My wife and I like people watching, so no biggie. Having a reserved spot on the pool deck on a sea day sounds nice to us.
