1 post · Joined 2016. #1 · Nov 27, 2016. I have a 2003 Kawasaki Prairie 650 with under 300 miles. It has always been hard to start, gives problems idling as well. The problem is that when it gets under 40 degrees or so, it flat refuses to start. I am trying to start it, and it acts like it wants to start, but doesn't turn over.I bought my wife a 04 prairie 360, it's got around 3000kms and close to 450 hours. Great shape. Last run we had her speedo stopped working, the hour meter and backlight still works so it can't be an electrical issue with the head unit. I understand the 4wd works off of the speed sensor. The problem is intermittent.Also, if you do not necessarily want to go big bore, you can install a crank from a BF750, which will give you 3mm more stroke, and bore to 82mm (2mm over standard). You will also need to use Prairie 700 connecting rods for this. This will give you 697cc.
