And even in the same room with the same lighting when aiming the dot at different areas of the same room it could most definitely cause an issue in a self defense situation due to trying to fish for the dot.

Want to keep the price about 150-300, use to the gun as my CCW. Sub consensus is Holosun 507k or Sentinel Swampfox. In that price range holosun 407c. I would bump up to a 507c because the 32moa ring helps finding the dot much quicker. The C is too large for a Hellcat. Noted.
