If you mean your TV's own CC, for that you need to use the TV's remote to set the option. On your DirecTV remote press the MENU button. Choose: Settings. Choose: Display. Choose: Closed Caption and click on it. Select: OFF to turn off closed captioning. SAVE your settings to apply the changes. Turning off Closed Captioning won't disable other accessibility features like audio descriptions or screen reading services.
